An office network installation starts with the building, not a box of access points. African Vanilla walks the site, writes a bill of materials, and prices Cat6, fibre, cabinets and Wi-Fi before anyone pulls cable. The office is in Wilgeheuwel, Roodepoort. What happens on a network installation?

You get a site walk, a bill of materials, a phased plan, then the build.

1. Site walk. We look at the rooms, the warehouse or factory floor, existing cable, power, and where people and devices actually sit.
2. Bill of materials. Cable, containment, rack or edge cabinet, switching, fibre if areas need it, and access points. You see the list before you approve it.
3. Phased install. Work is split so the business can keep operating. Quiet-window tasks are named up front.
4. Prove it. Links are tested on the runs that matter, including Wi-Fi where staff or guests use it, not only at the rack.
5. Handover. You can stop at a finished network, or move it onto managed IT.

We do not publish a Denver or per-point cabling case study. Until a client has approved that write-up, the proof on this page is the work already public.

Where is this kind of cabling already published?

Two installs show the standard. A third shows a warehouse, not a small office.

• African Elephant Lodge: a previous provider ran copper-clad aluminium to TP-Link access points. It failed at go-live. We replaced the failed plant with Gigabit Cat6 and Reyee (Ruijie) access points so guest rooms got usable wireless.
• HDPE Plumbing & Trading in Alrode South, Alberton: a new fibre-backed network with Reyee wireless, CCTV, and NetBird VPN, as part of a full IT takeover.
• Midrand distribution centre (Apex Distribution): a warehouse network redesign with segmentation and high-density Wi-Fi for a 24-hour operation.

Do you install Reyee and Ruijie for businesses?

Yes. Reyee (Ruijie) is what we installed on the Elephant Lodge and HDPE jobs above.

We choose access points after the site walk. A lodge, a wholesale branch and a warehouse do not want the same layout. Business Wi-Fi as its own scope, including offices and warehouses, is on the business Wi-Fi page so this one can stay about cable, fibre and cabinets.

What does ongoing network care cost?

Project cabling is quoted. These monthly lines are already on the calculator:

• Managed firewall: R450 per site per month (monitoring, rules hygiene, policy care).
• Wi-Fi / network monitoring: R350 per site per month.
• VPN / secure remote access: R45 per user per month.
• On-site support: R650 per hour when someone has to stand at the rack.

Month-to-month managed IT, if you want helpdesk and monitoring of the PCs as well as the network, is on managed IT services. Starter is R650 per user per month. Partner is R950 per user per month.
