Business Wi-Fi fails when the access points are an afterthought. African Vanilla surveys the office, warehouse or guest rooms, then installs wireless on cable that can carry it. Installation is contact us for a quote. Monitoring afterwards is published: R350 per site per month on the services calculator.
This page is the wireless scope. Cable, fibre and cabinets are on office network installation.
What do you design differently for an office and a warehouse?
Offices need reliable coverage in the rooms where people sit and meet. Warehouses need coverage for scanners, packing stations and computers on a floor that is full of racking and metal.
- Office: placement for open plan and meeting rooms, a staff network, and a guest network when visitors should not share the company LAN.
- Warehouse or factory: access points aimed at the floor, not only the office mezzanine. The published example is Apex Distribution in Midrand: a high-density warehouse Wi-Fi design inside a wider network redesign.
- Hospitality: coverage in the room, not only at reception. That is the test we used at African Elephant Lodge.
We do not publish a fixed “three access points per floor” rule. The count comes from the building.
Which Wi-Fi have you actually installed?
Reyee (Ruijie), on two published jobs:
- African Elephant Lodge: Gigabit Cat6 replaced failed copper-clad aluminium, then Reyee access points covered the guest rooms.
- HDPE Plumbing & Trading (Alberton): fibre-backed branch network with Reyee wireless, alongside CCTV and NetBird VPN. See the HDPE case study.
If a site already runs another brand and it is healthy, we do not rip it out for a logo. If the cable is the fault, new access points will not fix it. That cabling scope lives on the office network installation page.
What does it cost to keep Wi-Fi watched?
The installation quote covers survey, equipment and fit-out. These published rates cover what happens next:
- Wi-Fi / network monitoring: R350 per site per month.
- Managed firewall: R450 per site per month, when the wireless network needs a looked-after firewall.
- On-site support: R650 per hour.
Month-to-month helpdesk for the people on that Wi-Fi is managed IT, from R650 per user per month on Starter.
Where should you start?
If you are fitting out a new premises, use the office move IT checklist and then book a site walk. If the current Wi-Fi is already up and simply unreliable, book a free IT audit and we will say whether the fault is placement, cable, or the access points.
West Rand offices can start from IT support on the West Rand. One local page covers Roodepoort and the surrounding West Rand. We do not split Wi-Fi into a page per suburb.
Frequently asked questions
- What is included in a business Wi-Fi installation?
- A look at where people work, a placement plan, access points, and the cabling those access points need. Guest and staff networks are separated when the site needs that. Installation is quoted. We do not sell a single off-the-shelf AP count.
- Do you install Wi-Fi in warehouses as well as offices?
- Yes. Offices need coverage in meeting rooms and open plan. Warehouses need coverage on the floor for scanners and computers, which is a different layout. The published warehouse example is the Midrand distribution centre redesign.
- Which access points do you install?
- Published jobs use Reyee (Ruijie): African Elephant Lodge guest rooms, and HDPE Plumbing & Trading's Alberton branch. We specify the hardware after the survey. A brand name on its own is not a design.
- Why did a previous Wi-Fi install fail?
- At African Elephant Lodge, TP-Link access points on copper-clad aluminium cable failed at go-live. Long CCA runs did not give the access points a stable Gigabit path. We replaced that plant with Cat6 and redesigned the Reyee placement. Cheap cable is a Wi-Fi problem, not only a cabling problem.
- How much does office or warehouse Wi-Fi cost?
- Contact us for a quote for the installation. After it is in, Wi-Fi and network monitoring is R350 per site per month on the services calculator. On-site changes are R650 per hour. Cabling that the Wi-Fi depends on is quoted with the office network installation, not hidden inside a per-AP special.
- Can Wi-Fi be monitored after you leave?
- Yes. The calculator line is Wi-Fi / network monitoring at R350 per site per month: basic network, Wi-Fi and site-health monitoring. It can sit on its own or inside managed IT.
